We are delighted to be recruiting for a part-time counsellor to join our specialist organisation.

The right woman would deliver counselling sessions to adult women who have experienced sexual violence and abuse. You will provide a safe and empowering space for survivors through an intersectional feminist, client-focused, holistic approach, rooted in an in-depth knowledge and understanding of trauma. Counselling would be provided to a caseload of around 10 weekly clients at a time (possibly a mixture of short and longer term, and face to face, online and/or telephone depending on needs of the service).

We particularly welcome applications from Black and racially minoritised women, Disabled women, LBTQI+ women, and others whose intersecting experiences reflect those of the sexual violence and abuse survivors we work with.

For this Counsellor recruitment, we’re also we would particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience of running therapeutic groups and/or creative groups and those who have training in EMDR or other trauma-recommended therapies.
