This International Women’s Day we are calling out for submissions of feminist short poems to celebrate feminist art and also to help raise money for SARSVL.
Our aim is to select 12 original poems to create a ‘Feminist Poem a Month’ calendar and to sell this calendar as a winter fundraiser for SARSVL. If we are unable to do this, we would still share a selection of the poems submitted to us,  from the 25th November to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls and the subsequent 16 days of action.
We’re excited to see the breadth of creativity of women, girls and non-binary people, so if you’re a poet (or even if you wouldn’t call yourself one!) we’d love to hear from you.

Submission guidelines:

  • We are asking for submissions from women, girls and non-binary folk who are comfortable with our woman-centred approach
  • We are asking for submissions of short poems. Your poem should be no longer than 10 lines.
  • We are asking for people to write on any of the below themes:
    1. What a world free from oppression could look like
    2. Women that you admire, respect and love
    3. Female friendship
    4. Sisterhood
To submit a poem you can use this form to give us your details and your poem. https://forms.office.com/e/trEHbCsTV3
