Statistics show that 1 in 5 women aged 16-59 have suffered rape or some sort of sexual violence. It’s not limited by age, sexual preference, race, socio-economic background, work status or religion. It can, and does happen, to women and girls all over the city and we are the only charity in Leeds that offers specialist support. As such we have a huge impact on their lives by offering specialist support, advice and counselling that they need to help them live full and productive lives.
We are reliant on donations and grants to support our vital services. There are two specific ways in which you can help – by making a donation/fundraising or by volunteering. As well as providing practical help, your support also allows us to further raise awareness and understanding of sexual violence and abuse in our communities.
Volunteers
They are vital to the ongoing delivery and development of our services. Women volunteer on our helpline and as counsellors. We’re particularly keen to receive applications from women who can help us to more fully reflect the community that we strive to serve, particularly Black and Minority Ethnic women, disabled women and women aged over 50. Donate or Fundraise
Whether you can make a one-off donation of £10 or are happy to take on a Challenge Event and raise several hundred pounds, we would love to hear from you. Every penny you raise really does help us help women and girls across the city. For further details click here.
