Currently a lot of services are offering alternative support to their normal operations due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to compile a helpful list of resources for women and girls who are survivors of rape and sexual violence in Leeds at the moment.

Our Helpline is open two days a week at the moment to provide phone, text and email support to women and girls in Leeds. You can see our opening hours and contact details on our website here. 

Rape Crisis England and Wales have also created a page specifically focused on finding support during COVID-19. Their phone and webchat Helplines are still open for women and girls for emotional support around rape and sexual violence.

Women’s Aid have compiled a helpful list of tools and resources to support women and children surviving domestic and sexual violence at the moment – you can find all their info on their website.

Leeds Domestic Violence Service (LDVS) remains open, and their 24 hour Helpline; IDVA; and refuge services are continuing to operate with some adjustments made to ensure the safety and health of staff, volunteers and service users. Leeds City Council also have a page dedicated to support around Domestic Violence including emotional support, housing support and social support – please visit their website for more information.

Leeds Survivor Led Crisis are offering their services remotely via phone and video calls. You can see their opening hours and contact details on their website as well as their variety of services.

Forward Leeds have some support available and guidance for anyone dealing with substance use at the moment – please visit their website for contact information, details about their services, and tools and resources.

Carers Leeds are still providing support for anyone who is a carer – paid or unpaid – during the Coronavirus pandemic. You can see the services they provide and how to get in touch online here.
