Advocacy Counselling Helpline

Charity of the Year

Choose SARSVL as your company’s Charity of the Year...

The statistics show that during your everyday working life, you are likely to come in to contact with women and girls who have experienced sexual violence;  1 in 5 women aged 16-59 have suffered some sort of sexual violence since they were 16.

Are you a forward thinking Leeds-based business who wants to help us support them?

SARSVL is a small charity with a big impact on the lives of local women and girls and we are the ONLY charity offering dedicated specialist support in rape and sexual violence within Leeds. By working together we can provide local women who have experienced sexual violence with the specialist support, advice and counselling they need to help them live full and productive lives.

If you choose us as your Charity of the Year, we can support you by making sure you receive:

  • A dedicated partnership manager to provide support throughout the year, working with you to develop a bespoke fundraising plan incorporating corporate social responsibility aims and engaging your colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • The opportunity of tailor-made workshops for your colleagues, exploring issues such as sexual harassment in the workplace, myth-busting and disclosure, delivered by SARSVL experts.
  • Some great fundraising ideas, SARSVL promotional materials and event support throughout the year.
  • Regular progress reports about the direct impact your company’s fundraising is making, including  anonymised feedback from the women we are working with, and the difference we are making to their lives and the lives of their families.

Here’s a few words from Sainsbury’s Leeds Station Local Store, our Charity of the Year Partner 2015-2017.

‘We’ve supported SARSVL for two consecutive years now, as it proved such a popular choice with customers and colleagues alike.  Through fundraising events and collection boxes on the tills, we have raised funds towards the costs of their specialised helpline, counselling and advocacy services. Knowing we support a city-based charity that helps create positive change in the lives of women and girls locally, and that tackles subjects which are often not discussed openly, makes our efforts all the more worthwhile.’
