Join in with SARSVL Sticker Ninjas!

We need you to help us with our aim to sticker every door of every public female toilet in Leeds! Stealthily criss crossing Leeds SARSVL Sticker Ninjas are very polite, always asking permission first.

We need you to spot our old stickers – rectangle, old Leeds number – and report them in for covering up, and to identify naked doors without our information – then either armed with your own supply of stickers (available from info@sarsvl.org.uk) or ready to report in we’ll get those stickers out and about everywhere!

Can you help us? We hope so – that’s a lot of loos!

Contact the office at info@sarsvl.org.uk to help with our infiltration.

Competition! Create A Feminist SuperShero

To celebrate the changes afoot at SARSVL we’re running Create a Feminist SuperShero competition, open to girls of 18 and under. The winning piece will be used as part of our publicity materials targeted at signposting young women and girls to our services, displayed in our Centre and, who knows, she might even have her own comic strip on the SARSVL website.

The brief:

Create a Feminist SuperShero.

Some pointers…

What makes a feminist hero?

What does feminism mean to you?

What challenges might women and girls face that our feminist superhero would overcome?

Who do you look up to?

What are your experiences of being a young person today?

We welcome both group and individual work.

Ideally your finished artwork will be available electronically so we can adapt it to use in displays and on the website but if you would prefer to submit your work in any other media please feel free and we’ll adapt it for our use.

If you have any questions please info@sarsvl.org.uk.

Completed pieces should be submitted to SARSVL at

Praise For SARSVL – received April 2013

We wanted to share a very welcome email we received anonymously to our info@sarsvl.org.uk address – thank you very much for your appreciation!

To all those involved,

It was my 21st birthday at the start of April and to celebrate it I have chosen to do at least 21 random acts of kindness. I have decided to spend as much time as I possibly can, thanking others for there amazing (and often overlooked) contributions to making lives better, and doing as many random good deeds as I can. With that in mind I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for providing the support far too many need after rape or sexual violence. This is a organisation with a subject matter close to myself and my family’s hearts, and I know that if it weren’t for people like you, willing to help others in need, many women wouldn’t have anyone else to turn to. I hope that your organisation grows and thrives, helping everyday to fight again the horrific things that happen to people. And I wish you all the very best for the future, and once again thank you.
