Due to significant demand for specialist counselling on our small team, we have had to take the difficult decision to temporarily close our waiting lists for counselling and are not able to accept any new referrals until further notice. The waiting list will be reviewed monthly and updates will be posted on our website so please check this regularly for more information.
SARSVL has two additional services available for female survivors of sexual violence:
Helpline Service: emotional listening support for women and girls who have experienced any kind of sexual violence at any point in their lives. Support is offered via telephone, text, e-mail, and pre-arranged face-to-face appointments. For more information on opening times and contact information, please consult this page.
ISVA Service: For women above the age of 18 who are thinking about reporting to the Police about sexual violence they have experienced, or are engaged in the criminal justice system following a report made. Practical and emotional support can be provided via an ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advocate) once a self-referral or referral by a professional is made. See here for details.
